Georgios Giorgiadis appointed Technical Director of PAOK Academy
PAOK FC would like to announce the appointment of Georgios Georgiadis as the new Technical Director of the PAOK Academy.
Georgios Georgiadis began his football playing career with Doxa Drama, then switched to Panathinaikos and from there he continued his career in England with Newcastle United.
In 1999 he returned to Greece with PAOK, where he won two Greek Cups in four years. In 2003 he joined Olympiacos where he played for two years, before moving on to spend two more years with Iraklis back in Thessaloniki. In 2007 returned to PAOK for one season before hanging up his boots.
He immediately took on scouting duties at PAOK afterwards and became the coach of the youth team. In 2009 he took the helm of the Greece national youth team with Kostas Tsanas and then the Under-21’s the year after that.
In 2012, he returned to PAOK as Technical Director and he remained in that post until the summer of 2015, while also taking the helm as head coach on an interim basis three times.
He went on to coach at Veria and AO Trikala, he returns to PAOK once more as Technical Director, but this time at the PAOK Academy.
