Club statement from PAOK FC
Aris FC’s efforts to pitch themselves as spectators of fantastical events as they try to ignite the atmosphere even when 24 hours have passed since the end of the recent derby match was something we all expected. It is as if they need to create an excuse to justify the future behaviors that we are traditionally used to at their Kleanthis Vikelidis stadium.
However, given that their goals over time have been limited to giving the term «derby» to the matches against each other, we would like to inform the club that rarely are such provocative behaviors in a «derby» – both on and off the pitch – treated with such calmness. And this, even when confronted with opposing players who think they are clever by celebrating in front of the sections of our stadium where our organized fans are seated.
Our response to the delayed (just like their team’s tactics at the Toumba) reaction of the Aris FC management, is that we have become accustomed to them trying to create the impression of being the victims of unfair circumstance, a position that they have reserved for themselves.
Anyone can freely declare themselves either as having been treated unfairly, as victims of events of fantasy, or as a spontaneous complainer. In effect, however, the only thing they achieve when they actually believe all of these things that they say, is that they widen the gap between themselves and the big clubs.
This, of course, is of no interest to those who have published their media statement, the most interesting part of which is, after all a reference to «red lines». They really could not be any other color…
