The match began ideally, with PAOK taking a 2-0 lead, but Atromitos battled back and pulled two goals back to level teh match. Abel Ferreira’s players though did not stop there. They fought on right up until the last kick of the game and were rewarded when Crespo headed home the winner.

And the best player on the night then was Josip Misic. The Croatian midfielder started the match and was exceptional throughout. His two assists for the two goals – one of which was scored by Varela but was chalked off after a VAR review – included the delivery for Crespo’s winning goal.

In the Fans’ Man of the Match vote, Misic earned 61% of the vote and won the award.

In second place was Crespo, who of course scored the winner, while Dimitris Pelkas got on the podium in third place thanks to one assist he provided and for his overall performance throughout the match.
