In the first month of the new season, PAOK’s left-back has really come into his own. In the matches against Ajax, Slovan Bratislava and Panetolikos, the Katerini-born player has been flawless individually. He has been immense in defense, but he also has helped the team hugely going forward, with three assists and a wonderful goal to his name. It was these performances which saw him also make a return to the Greek national team squad.

PAOK supporters have spoken and Giannoulis received 68,92% of the votes for the title of  August’s 11888 MVP in the voting contest created by PAOK in cooperation with 11888.

Diego Bieseswar was the runner-up in second place. The Dutchman stole the show in the matches against Ajax with two great performances, while in third place was Karol Swiderski, another players who has started the season in dynamic form.
