Tryouts in a tough encounter
In a hard-fought friendly encounter against Al-Taawoun, that ended in 1-1, Abel Ferreira got the opportunity to give playing time to several players who hadn’t featured much during preseason.
In Saturday’s first friendly encounter, PAOK coach decided to field players that didn’t get much playing time during preseason. They made the most of the opportunity and put on a tough fight against the Saudi-Arabian outfit.
In the first half, the Asian outfit quickly settled on the ball and managed to take the lead in the 33rd minute following a corner kick.
After the interval, Abel Ferreira’smen improved their display and pressed to equalize. After wasting a few good opportunities, Ingi Ingason made it 1-1 with a header set up by Giannis Michailidis.
