It’s a very tough decision indeed. Who stands out from this extraordinary squad? PAOK achieved their first ever domestic double, furthermore they won the league undefeated.
All those close to the team can attest to the bond between these players, their tight-knit group. They worked in unison for 11 months and celebrated their success profusely.
The coaching staff laid down the foundations and the players executed the plans on the pitch, all of them contributing to the team’s feats.
It’s high time to vote for the best player of the season. For a sixth consecutive season, paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App, along with 11888, organize the poll that will determine the season’s 11888 MVP, the player who will be presented with the “Platon Foropoulos” Award.
The first player to win the trophy back in 2013-14 was evergreen Lino, who earned the fans’ acknowledgement in his final season at Toumba Stadium, proving that age is irrelevant. Εrgys Kaçe took honours in 2014-15. He was the only player to stand out in a bad season for PAOK. In 2015-16, Giorgos Tzavellas was presented with the accolade, having enjoyed the most mature season of his career. In 2016-17, Panagiotis Glykos displayed his fine goalkeeping skills as PAOK claimed their first trophy after many years. Last season Adelino Vieirinha made good on all his promises after returning to Thessaloniki and led the team to the top.
