PAOK U19 lift their trophy
The astonishing U19 side of the “Double-Headed Eagle”, who have 27 wins and 2 draws in 29 matches, were awarded the Super League title on Sunday noon in Toumba Stadium.
In their last home match of the season, the pupils of Pablo García and Mirosław Sznaucner played a 1-1 draw in an attractive, crowd-pleasing encounter.
The visitors took the lead, but Tzovaras equalized just before half time with a beautiful strike. After the interval, despite several opportunities created by both teams, the deadlock remained.
After the final whistle, PAOK U19s were awarded the league trophy by the club vice-president and executive director Makis Gagatsis.
The youngsters of the “Double-Headed Eagle” celebrated profusely and are now shifting their focus to their last match of the season, their visit to Panetolikos ground, aiming to seal an undefeated league, just like the senior side did.
