Greece U19s packed with… PAOK talent
Greece U19 national side are faced with the challenge of making it to the finals of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship. They rely heavily on PAOK players, reigning –and soon to be crowned again- champions of U19 Super League, as head coach Giannis Goumas called seven of them for international duty.
Lefteris Lyratzis, Marios Tsaousis, Alexandros Gargalatzidis, Apostolos Diamantis, Giannis Michailidis, Theocharis Tsiggaras and Antonis Gaitanidis had also been called to Greece U19s recently for the friendly games in Cyprus.
The encounters of Group B of the 18th UEFA European Under-19 Championship Elite Round will be held in England. Greece first take on Denmark (20 March, kick off at 16:30) and then play against hosts England on 23 March (kick off at 14:00). They wrap up their group engagements with the game against the Czech Republic on 26 March (kick off at 14:00).
The winners of the seven Elite Round groups will join hosts Armenia in the finals from 14 to 27 July.
