Away win, comeback included, for the U17s
PAOK U17s recorded a crucial away victory in Xanthi ground, a few days after suffering a defeat that had the rest of their group eyeing top place. With 44 points (20 games), PAOK have a 10-point lead over second-placed PAS Giannina (19 games). Matters will be decided in the remaining four fixtures.
Xanthi broke the deadlock in the 30th minute with a direct free-kick, but PAOK didn’t take long to come up with the equalizer. In the 40th minute, Pipiliaris teed up Tzolis who made it 1-1.
In the second half, PAOK applied more pressure aiming for a comeback. They got their reward in the 75th minute, once again courtesy of Tzolis, who connected Karakoutis’s corner for PAOK’s winner.
