U17s lose to PAS Giannina
It was bound to happen. The undefeated streak of PAOK U17s, stretching back to the semi-final of the 2017-18 Final Four, came to an end on Saturday in Giannina. The “Double-Headed Eagle” lost 4-3 in an eventful encounter.
Despite the defeat, PAOK remain at the top of the Super League standings with 38 points, ahead of PAS Giannina and Panetolikos who trail at an 11-point distance.
The Epirus side took a 2-0 lead and PAOK reacted in the second half. Theodoridis (58’) and Koutentakis (65’) equalized for the “Double-Headed Eagle”. PAS Giannina regained the lead, PAOK equalized again with Pipiliaris in the 75th minute. Ten minutes later, the home side sealed their 4-3 victory.
