Region and Municipality committees for New Toumba
A significant step towards the construction of New Toumba was made with the contribution of Central Makedonia Region and Thessaloniki Municipality. The two authorities confirmed their commitment and set up the working teams that will deal with issues regarding the new stadium of PAOK.
After the expanded meeting held on Thursday 1 November and the vote of the law amendment that grants PAOK 29,284 square metres of land, the Regional Governor of Central Makedonia Apostolos Tzitzikostas and the Mayor of Thessaloniki Giannis Boutaris carried out the first of their commitments to collaborate with the “Double-Headed Eagle”. They announced that they have set up the work teams that will foresee and deal with all issues regarding New Toumba.
Central Makedonia Region issued a statement on 5 November, announcing that Νikolaos Ioannou, Κonstantinos Befas, Christos Kravaritis, Savvas Ladopoulos and Christos Kortidis will represent the authority in the work team.
On 20 November, it was the turn of Thessaloniki Municipality to announce that Konstantinos Belibasakis, Paraskevi Farmaki, Anna Dimouli and Dimitrios Sotiriadis will be the ones undertaking the responsibility to represent the city and help towards the construction of PΑΟΚ’s new home ground.
The next step is a meeting of the afore-mentioned committees and the representatives of PAOK in order to move the agenda forward.
