PAOK took the lead, wasted a penalty and squandered five more gilt-edged opportunities to score, they were the best side on the pitch, but all that didn’t prove enough. Konstantelias gave PAOK the lead after 55 minutes of play, set up by Grosdis. Then minutes later, the black-and-whites were awarded a penalty, but Konstantelias missed his kick. A dead-ball situation in the 80th minute brought Xanthi’s equalizer.
