PAOK support dissimilarity
People with disabilities share the same needs as everyone: need for education, entertainment, social integration, creation.
In their encounter against Apollon Smyrni, PAOK players had the honour of escorting out on the pitch members of the Association of Friends of the Disabled “Movement for Change”.
This initiative signaled the start of the collaboration between PAOK FC and the Association of Friends of the Disabled, through PAOK Action.
After coming from the dugout alongside the players, the special guests watched the match, full of happiness and excitement.
Introducing the Association of Friends of the Disabled:
The Association of Friends of the Disabled “Movement for Change” is a Non-Profit Association founded in 2010. Their aim is to create something different, something equal in the field of caring for disabled persons.
At the centre of their multifaceted action is the Creative Activity Centre for Disabled Persons, which provides its services to 35 service users on a daily basis. At the same time, they organize entertainment, awareness and information events on a local and wider social level.
Groups of skilled volunteers stand by people with disabilities, helping and supporting them throughout the program. The association believes in equal opportunities and basic rights for all, as well as integration of disabled people into society as equal members.
