PAOK family in Tempi
No matter how many years go by, this is an appointment that PAOK family will always keep. In honour and respect for the memory of the six young people whose love for the “Double-Headed Eagle” left them forever in Tempi.
PAOK FC president Ιvan Savvidis, vice-president Μakis Gagatsis and board member Dimokratis Papadopoulos represented the club administration at the memorial service held in Tempi, 19 years after the dreadful accident. Players were represented by Stelios Malezas and Stelios Kitsiou.
PAOK fans were there to chant for the six young people and Ivan Savvidis commented on that:
“The memory and perception of this tragic departure. We are in awe, our souls are touched. Time cannot erase the pain. PAOK fans don’t forget. We can only remember. And dedicate our team’s triumphs to them. I hope we earn a brilliant win today and dedicate it to them”.
Regarding the fans’ chants for the league title, PAOK FC president said: “Have patience. We want that too and we will do everything. Nothing will break us. For the sake of these guys who faithfully love PAOK all these years. Next October, on the 20th anniversary of the accident, we have to bring the league trophy right here”.
