PAOK U19s in Cyprus
The U19 side of the “Double-Headed Eagle” kick off their European campaign in Cyprus, with the first leg against AEL Limassol for the round of 32 of the UEFA Youth League Domestic Champions path.
After getting off to a flying start in the league, with four wins in as many encounters, the troops of Pablo García and Mirosław Sznaucner aim to start their European adventure on a positive note and clinch qualification.
They will face AEL Limassol, who won the domestic league last season thus securing a place in the current UEFA Youth League.
The match will be held on Wednesday 3 October at 19:00 in Tsirio Stadium of Limassol.
The U19s left from Makedonia Airport on Tuesday. The squad list consists of the following players:
Papadopoulos, Syllektis, Τalichmanidis, Pournaras, Lyratzis, Tsaousis, Salamouras, Chatzistravos, Τsiggaras, Maniotis, Doumtsis, Panidis, Diamantis, Voutsas, Τzovaras, Gaitanidis, Κaloutsikidis, Μichailidis, Giaxis, Meletidis. Gargalatzidis is sidelined with injury.
Players are accompanied by U19 coaches Pablo García and Mirosław Sznaucner, their assistant Ιoannis Ampatzidis, goalkeeping coach Vasilis Petropoulos, physical condition trainer Theocharis Komsis, doctor Ιoannis Ousatzopoulos, physiotherapist Stavros Terzanidis, kitman Evangelos Babatsis and team manager Κostas Iosifidis.
