The “Double-Headed Eagle” were the only sports club to attend this important congress, declared open by Deputy Minister of Citizen Protection Katerina Papakosta.

PAOK FC and DIMERA GROUP were represented by their legal consultants Achilleas Mavromatis and Panagiotis Nikas respectively. They were among the congress’s keynote speakers, as they presented the actions of PAOK FC towards protecting their trademark and intellectual property.

They started with an introduction of the history and development of PAOK’s trademark, both by the amateur club and the football club. Then they presented the commercial network of PAOK, through their stores and the e-shop, as well as their efforts to fight copyright infringements and the appearance of counterfeit products in wholesale, retail and electronic commerce.

They also underlined that PAOK have started spreading their network through various actions, in order to help customers focus on purchasing only original products.

PAOK FC will continue participating in such initiatives. Through information exchange with other non-sports related companies, the club can acquire valuable knowledge and experience and deal with counterfeiting incidents in the future.
