The “kid” is all grown up now and has assumed the role of leader at PAOK. Răzvan Lucescu trusted in him right from the start and Dimitris Pelkas met his coach’s expectations. He is among the best players of the “Double-Headed Eagle” in the 2017-18 season.

Passion, intensity in his game, a constant will to improve and many substantial performances with a tally of 11 goals and 12 assists so far… The midfielder of PAOK is enjoying the best season of his career and proves it with every opportunity he gets, standing out on the pitch.

In April, Pelkas featured in just two encounters, but excelled in them. He scored a goal and provided an assist in the Greek Cup semi-final against Panionios in Toumba and served an assist in the away victory over Panathinaikos for the Super League.

In the poll for 11888 MVP of April, he faced stiff competition by two equally important players and managed to prevail, landing his third MVP accolade for the season.

Diego Biseswar came in second and Aleksandar Prijović completed the podium, trailing by just a few votes. The Dutch player turned the game against Xanthi around by himself, with a goal and an assist, and was outstanding whenever called to participate. The Serbian striker scored four more goals, on his way to top scorer honours in the Super League.
