Dear fans,

The league comes to an end on Saturday, in a complicated and controversial season.

This period has unveiled all too clearly the painful festering of Greek football, bringing forward several old unknown problems and hidden courses. One day I will speak about them.

However this season also made us rally around PΑΟΚ. Meaning that there is so much ahead of us.

That is the reason I am urging you to come to Toumba Stadium on Saturday. For almost a year, our home ground has been empty. It was impossible to stare at this void without heartache. Ten matches without you equal ten matches without life. And Toumba shouldn’t be deprived of life…

This season we demonstrated our dominance, by playing the best football and earning most points than any team. You should come to the stadium to applaud and show your respect to our players and coaching staff. The club and the team will be able to thank you in return for all the unconditional love, devotion and support in the most difficult times.

We all need to recharge our batteries with the energy and emotions of Toumba Stadium, to focus and move decidedly towards the last and most determining match of the season. It’s our duty and we will do it.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to attend Saturday’s match in Toumba Stadium. But if you look closely to the man sitting next to you, you will see me, because I will be there in spirit, near every one of you. On the day of the Greek Cup final, I will definitely be in Athens. Outside the venue. But by your side, as always.

Sincerely,

Ivan Savvidis
