It was a tight race –proof that both Adelino Vieirinha and Dimitris Pelkas deserved the award. But there can be only one winner. The Portuguese skipper landed the accolade, his first since returning to Toumba.
PAOK fans were ecstatic to hear last summer that Adelino Vieirinha found his way back to PAOK. It’s been more than seven months since 31 August and the Portuguese player has lived up to all expectations.
Vieirinha is a true leader on and off the pitch, an obedient soldier and an invaluable tool for his coach who has fielded him in every possible position. His quality makes the difference.
He was outstanding during March. His performances were of the highest standard, he produced an assist and stood out with his stance in the eventful match against AEK Athens.
In the poll organized by paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App, Vieirinha collected 46,11% of the users’ vote, earning the 11888 MVP of March, his first individual accolade at PAOK since his return.
Dimitris Pelkas came in second, only trailing by a few votes. The young midfielder missed the opportunity for a hat-trick of MVP titles. Djalma Campos completed the podium.
