PAOK FC statement regarding Macedonia
As the biggest sporting and social movement of Northern Greece and Macedonia, established by people who suffered, chased away from their homes, PAOK cannot stand silent or unaffected by recent developments.
Macedonia is our land, our home, our history. Historically, there is only one Macedonia and it’s Greek. It is not our place to engage into politics, but we demand that truth and history be safeguarded at all costs.
We are aware that solving a national issue is crucial, but not at the expense of national consciousness of Macedonia citizens. Any solution that will not provoke society, but will lead to a stronger Northern Greece and render our country more powerful is welcome, without forging reality and history.
Ahead of Sunday’s rally (21.01), the whole PAOK family unite their voice with millions of like mind.
