Pelkas’s “masterpiece”
Dimitris Pelkas’s astonishing first goal against Panathinaikos on matchday 14 of the Super League Souroti was voted Regency Casino Best Goal of December by users of paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App.
Before kick-off, everyone was expecting a high-voltage clash. Things turned out differently though. PAOK put on a magnificent performance and thrashed Panathinaikos 4-0 in front of their fans who returned to Toumba after a long time.
Dimitris Pelkas was the absolute star of the encounter. PAOK’s co-captain was a joy to watch against the “Greens”. He displayed passion and intensity throughout the encounter, led his team’s attacking moves and sealed the victory with two amazing goals. The first came with a long-range technical shot in the early stages of the match. The second, with a sumptuous finish following a slaloming run amidst Panathinaikos’s stunned defenders.
In the poll organized by paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App for Regency Casino Best Goal of December, Pelkas’s first goal got 73,54% of the vote and won the award. The young attacking midfielder claimed second place as well with his second goal against Panathinaikos, while Aleksandar Prijović completed the podium with the same encounter’s fourth goal.
