Pelkas at Toumba until 2021
PAOK FC announce the extension of Dimitris Pelkas’s contract until 2021.
The young international Greek midfielder will stay “at home”, as a distinguished member of the club he has been serving since he was a child. Dimitris Pelkas’s journey from the PAOK academy to the captain’s armband of the senior team has been anything but smooth.
He made his senior debut in 2012 and made everybody learn his name. However he wasn’t ready yet to carry the heavy load of huge expectations. He armed himself with inner strength and determination to make the most of his loan spells to Apollon Kalamaria and Vitória de Setúbal and return to Thessaloniki more ready than ever.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to state that Pelkas left Toumba as a kid and returned a man, with his strengthened character supporting his role on the pitch and his obvious talent. After two full seasons at PAOK, his call to the senior Greek national team and being chosen as captain, Dimitris Pelkas want to raise the bar even higher. He will stay at PAOK until 2021 and help the team reach the top.
