Djalma Campos lands 11888 MVP award
He was one of the few players who stood out despite the team’s bad spell. Djalma Campos won the fans over and was voted 11888 MVP of August in the poll organized by paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App.
August was a month to forget at PAOK camp. Their elimination from European competition and their sluggish league start are disappointing, but can also serve as motives in order to reverse the mood and aim to big things on the domestic front.
Not many players managed to perform at a high level in August. Djalma Campos won the appreciation of the fans. The winger of the “Double-Headed Eagle” helped the team considerably with his tactical awareness.
Non-stop running, sound positioning, helping in defence and, of course, serving perfect passes to forwards, Djalma was the most influential player at PAOK this month. He didn’t score, but provided two assists for Prijović and Mak and was at the heart of almost every attacking attempt.
In the 11888 MVP of August poll held by paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App, Campos got 45,81% of the vote and landed the award. He faced stiff competition by newly-signed Argentinian goalkeeper Rodrigo Rey who has proved right from his first performances that he is dependable. Aleksandar Prijović completes the podium, with three goals netted in August.
