Östersunds FK suffered heavy defeat
After losing 3-1 in Toumba, Östersunds FK conceded three more goals. They were defeated 3-0 at home by AIK Fotboll for the Swedish league.
Graham Potter did extensive rotation, a sign that he believes they can still snatch qualification out of PAOK’s hands. As a result, his team suffered for it in the league and lost at home.
AIK Fotboll dominated the encounter and took the lead in the 12th minute through a solo effort by Sundgren. Östersunds FK tried to react, settled on the ball but failed to create any danger in AIK’s box. Things got worse for PAOK’s rival after the interval, when Edwards was given his marching orders after a second bookable offence.
With Östersunds FK reduced to 10 players, things got even easier for the visiting side, who scored twice more, through Stefanelli and Avdić.
PAOK rivals remained winless for a fifth consecutive league game and dropped to eighth place of the Allsvenskan standings.
