International success for PAOK Academy

It’s not only about collecting valuable experience. It’s also about success and acquiring a winning mentality. PAOK youth sides travel around Europe each summer to play football and measure themselves against the toughest opposition possible. And their results are more than satisfactory.

PAOK U14 squad travelled to Dortmund for the International Youth Tournament. They failed to progress from the group stage though.

After winning the renowned Lennart Johansson trophy in Sweden, PAOK U13 went to Hannover for yet another test. Not only did they participate in the Pfingst Cup tournament, but they made it all the way to the final, where they lost 3-0 to SV Werder Bremen. It was their first defeat after 50 European matches.

PAOK U11s also made the podium. They finished 3rd among 180 participating teams in Pfingst Cup, a tournament held in Düsseldorf. They lost in the penalty shoot-out of the semi-finals, but prevailed over Sparta Rotterdam in the 3rd-place match, that was also decided from the spot.

PAOK U10s got 12th place in the Robin van Persie international tournament in Rotterdam.

As for PAOK U9s, they finished 9th among 104 teams in the Kids Cup, organized in Leverkusen.
