In 2015-16, he played more than anyone, topping the lists of appearances and minutes played. This season, the arrival of several attacking midfielders saw his time on pitch reduced, but he still is considered a very important member of the team.

Dimitris Pelkas was present to help PAOK whenever needed with some crucial and beautiful goals, featuring either as attacking midfielder or winger. He scored 7 goals and provided one assist.

Inarguably, his season highlight came in the second leg of the Greek Cup semi-finals against Panathinaikos in Toumba Stadium. PAOK had their back against the wall and the Greens were looking livelier at the start of the encounter. But Dimitris Pelkas appeared to provide the necessary spark and steer the “Double-Headed Eagle” towards a historic comeback.

In the 14th minute, PAOK earned a free-kick just outside Panathinaikos’s box. Pelkas took the ball, placed it and sent it at the back of the net, past Vlachodimos who was unable to react.

His goal was voted by fans as Regency Casino Best Goal of the Season, getting 27,05% in the poll held by paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App.

The masterpiece of Aleksandar Prijović against Panionios in the Super League play-offs was voted second best. The Serbian forward joined PAOK in January, but topped the team’s scoring charts and offered moments of sheer football magic. Against the blue-reds, he sealed the win with a magnificent goal: chest control, flick-up and lob over Vlachos and left-foot volleyed finish!

Another graduate of PAOK academy completes the podium. Efthymis Koulouris produced an awesome performance at the start of the season in Tripolis, sealing the 2-1 victory over Asteras with a brace. One of these strikes was just amazing. A volleyed side shot that earned rare reviews.
