Champions acclaimed by Toumba faithful
It’s a tradition. Every PAOK section who win a title, come to celebrate it in Toumba Stadium in front of the fans. In the league encounter against AOK Kerkyra, there were several champions on the pitch, as you will witness in the following video of PAOK TV.
PAOK U15 side prevailed 7-6 over Olympiacos in the penalty shoot-out of the final held in AEL FC Arena of Larissa and were crowned Super League U15 champions. The youngsters were the guests of honour of Ivan Savvidis on Sunday and watched the encounter against AOK Kerkyra from the suite of PAOK FC president in Toumba Stadium. In half-time, they stepped on the pitch to get a taste of what awaits them when they will be playing for the senior side of the “Double-Headed Eagle”. They celebrated their success and the fans cheered for them as they did their victory lap.
They were not the only champions on the pitch though. They were accompanied by the Wrestling Section of PAOK, who achieved a unique accomplishment this season: they won the Greek championships in the seniors, U20s and U17s.
