«Let’s combine education and result»
PAOK U15 – Olympiacos U15, part IV. For a fourth consecutive season, the two sides meet in the final that will be held in AEL FC Arena on Saturday (kick off at 16:45) and paokfc.gr brings you the thoughts of the “Double-Headed Eagle” coach and their captain, ahead of the trophy match.
PAOK U15 coach Angelos Zazopoulos spoke to the official site of the Super League about the final and its importance:
«After a considerable effort that started last summer, it’s time for the final. The lads are eagerly awaiting for it. In this age group, a final match is decided by details for various reasons (stress, big ground, intense rivalry) and we have been working on these details in recent days.
We want to showcase our work, to demonstrate what we have been working on as a team and academy. In this age group, it’s better not to combine education and results. But our players are only thinking about winning this final and we hope that the two teams will be the only stars of the game» .
Representing the players, their captain Thodoros Kaltsidis pointed out the hardships that the young athletes face when trying to combine school and football. He also voiced his team’s ambition to win the trophy:
«Since the beginning of the season we have been working hard for the best, on a daily basis, despite the difficulties and our school engagements. We are very happy to feature in the final and we are determined to give it our best. We will play with our hearts, with passion and we will return to Thessaloniki holding the trophy» .
