PAOK 15s win league title
The U15 side of the “Double-Headed Eagle” prevailed over Olympiacos and won the Super League title in Larissa. The dramatic encounter ended 1-1 in regulation time and was decided in the penalty shoot-out (7-6 for the “black-and-whites”).
The “Double-Headed Eagle” were in command from the start and managed to take the lead in the 28th minute with Altintzis, teed-up by Grosdis’s through-pass. Afterwards, Olympiacos claimed more ball possession but were finding it difficult to threaten Balomenos’s goal.
The complexion of the encounter didn’t change after the interval. Altintzis failed to finish off the trophy match on two occasions, and Olympiacos found an equalizer in stoppage time.
The two sides settled matters in the penalty shoot-out. PAOK players converted their first seven spot kicks. Balomenos saved Olympiacos’s seventh, handing his side the league title.
