U11s and U10s impress in Germany

The U11 and U10 sides of PAOK were impressive in Stuttgart. Here is how they fared in their respective international tournaments.

PAOK U11 squad took 5th place (among 60 participating teams) in the Domino’s Cup tournament in Stuttgart, after losing their quarter-final game to FC Schalke 04. They succumbed in the penalty shoot-out (1-1 in regulation time). The “Double-Headed Eagle” didn’t lose any of their 90-minute games in the tournament, scoring 24 goals and conceding only one in the process! VfL Bochum won the cup.

The ‘black-and-white’ U10s finished 15th (among 40 teams) in the Orthopaedicos Cup in Stuttgart. In the last 16 stage, they were defeated 1-0 by Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña. The Spaniards made it to the final, but lost the trophy to 1. FC Nürnberg.

PAOK U11 squad consisted of: Stefanos Anastasiadis, Maximilian Sznaucner, Vasilis Papageorgiou, Konstantinos Chatzigavriil, Konstantinos Polykratis, Tryfon Kalioglou,Thiago Romano, Makis Magis, Stathis Panikidis, Dimitris Chatsidis, Stefanos Tzimas, Giorgos Tellos.

Players were escorted by coaches Giorgos Gourtsas and Νikos Papageorgiou.

PAOK U10 squad consisted of: Konstantinos Atridis, Vangelis Pourliotopoulos, Konstantinos Damdoumis, Thanasis Panos, Stratos Tachmetzidis, Petros Karakostas, Paschalis Andreadis, Giorgos Kosidis, Bentri Dunga, Vasilis Eleftheriadis, Konstantinos Gouridis, Rafail Chatzivasiliou.

Players were escorted by coaches Αlexis Tasoulis and Spyros Koulouris.
