The valuable Mr Shakhov
Yevhen Shakhov is proving a valuable asset for his coach and team, with performances full of substance. He also won the fans over, prevailing in the 11888 MVP of March poll, organized by paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App.
March’s matches, although not numerous, were very important. A qualification to the Greek Cup semi-finals, two home victories in tough clashed and a bad evening at work in Olympic Stadium.
All these encounters had something in common: Yevhen Shakhov’s impressive performance. His playing style doesn’t win him fans, but he can determine the outcome of a match. After needing some time to adjust to his first adventure away from Ukraine, Shakhov is now displaying his quality.
Tactically astute, running incessantly and contributing both in defence and attack, he is comfortable on the pitch now and is improving his performances. Just like he did in March, when he won the applause of the fans and was voted 11888 MVP of March.
In the poll held by paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App, Shakhov had to fight for top place with his partner in midfield, Gojko Cimirot, and Fernando Varela. He prevailed with 46,47% of the vote and won his first individual title with the “black-and-whites”. After being the catalyst in midfield for yet another month, Cimirot remained in second place, while Varela completed the podium after his much-improved performances and tactical awareness.
