Rodrigues’s November
Compared to the “thrillers” of previous months, the poll for “11888 MVP of November” proved a walk in the park for Garry Rodrigues who prevailed comfortably.
He leads the top scorers’ list of PAOK this season and also has more assists, attempts on goal and fouls suffered than any of his teammates. Garry Rodrigues is a vital cog in the “Two-Headed Eagle’s” engine since the beginning of the season with his impressive performances and his consistency.
November marked a tough period for the team with various negative results, but the Cape Verde winger managed to respond to the challenge, play with passion and star in the huge three-pointer in Florence, where PAOK stated their intent to qualify to the UEFA Europa League knock out stage. In the poll for 11888 MVP of November, held on paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App, Rodrigues prevailed with an overwhelming 68,66% of the vote.
José Alberto Cañas was second in the poll. Having adjusted perfectly to his new team, the Spaniard is the metronome of PAOK in midfield, connects the lines of the team and participates in attacking and defensive plays with incessant running.
José Ángel Crespo took third place in the poll. Just like his countryman, he needed a little time, but has eventually become a valuable tool for his coach, thanks to his good positioning, timely interventions and sound game, featuring either as full back or centre back. He also contributes in the team’s attacking game in set pieces.
