Matos gets MVP accolade
His performance against Platanias in Toumba Stadium last Sunday earned Léo Matos the MVP award for matchday 14 of the Super League.
The Brazilian right full-back of the “Two-Headed Eagle” was outstanding against Platanias, scoring a brace in the 3-0 victory over the Cretan outfit.
Léo Matos won the contest organized by Nova, Super League and PSAP for matchday 14, getting 32,46% of the vote and prevailing over Clésio of Panetolikos and Vasilakakis of Xanthi.
It was the second individual accolade Matos earned for his performance, after getting voted Vodafone MVP by media representatives who attended the Platanias match.
Matos also got third place in the contest for Best Goal of matchday 14, with his second goal of the day. Simões of AEK got most votes, followed by Tasoulis of Panionios.
