Tzavellas voted 11888 MVP of September

Glykos and Tzavellas put on a huge fight for the 11888 MVP of September, but in the end the Greek international defender prevailed thanks to the users of paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App.

11.10.2016

It was a close vote –so close that, if it were an athletics’ race, we would need a photo finish to tell the first two apart. Giorgos Tzavellas got 43,40% of the vote and Panagiotis Glykos got 43,25%. It’s a clear sign that both deserved the award. Unfortunately only one could be 11888 MVP of September and so it was the Greek international defender who got the accolade.

Before suffering an injury during Greece’s encounter against Cyprus, Tzavellas displayed the consistency that characterized him throughout last season. Full of passion, focused, with perfect positioning and timely interventions, he led PAOK’s defensive line in Greece and Europe.

Panagiotis Glykos guaranteed PAOK’s solid defensive displays, as he is going through the best spell of his career. Solid, self-confident and calm, he is making spectacular saves and is participating in the team’s build-up game. Let’s not forget that he is credited with an assist to Garry Rodrigues in the encounter against FC Slovan Liberec.

Stefanos Athanasiadis took third place in the poll. He scored twice in the Czech Republic, but his September highlight was the fabulous back-heeled assist he served to Garry Rodrigues against Panetolikos.
