PAOK U11s finish second in Lokoball
The U11 team of the “Double-Headed Eagle” lost 3-1 to FC Lokomotiv Moscow in the final of the renowned Lokoball tournament in Moscow.
On the first day of the tournament, PAOK’s young players won their games against Kuba Krasnodar (2-1) and Temp (3-1). On Saturday 6 June they faced their first “final” and prevailed over Anzhi (2-0) for a place in the semi-finals.
They won 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out against Konoplev Academy, as they played a 0-0 draw in regulation time. Lokomotiv Moscow was waiting in the final.
PAOK players gave it all in the trophy encounter, were very good for most of the game, but couldn’t dominate their rivals and ended up second in the tournament. It was their sixth trip of the season. In their five previous tournaments in 2016, PAOK U11s won three (Paris World Cup, Catnic Cup in Germany and Max Sports in Serbia). Not bad at all…
