Cimirot earns Players’ Best Goal of the Year award
He netted just one goal this season, but it was quite impressive. Gojko Cimirot’s screamer against Panathinaikos in Leoforos was voted Players’ Best Goal of the season.
The fans had already rendered their verdict and then it was time for the players to vote. Both came to the same conclusion: Gojko Cimirot’s goal against Panathinaikos was the best PAOK goal of the season.
The Bosnian midfield scored just once this season, but it was such an impressive effort that it earned the fans’ nod and the appreciation of his peers, who voted it as Players’ Goal of the Year.
Fans and players agreed on the top award, but not in the goal that got second place. The roster of PAOK awarded… silver medal to Dimitris Pelkas for his magnificent lob against Brøndby IF. Fans preferred the header of Giannis Mystakidis against AEK Athens.
