It all started on 20 April 2008 in Alcazar Stadium of Larissa. Stefanos Athanasiadis started his first match for PAOK and, before the interval, he had already netted twice against AEL Larissa. The rest is history. His tough time at first, the fruitful exile in Serres, before establishing himself at PAOK. The youngster who introduced himself to football lovers in that game in Larissa is now a grown man and has evolved into one of the greatest Greek strikers of his generation.

He has scored against 35 teams since 2008. His “favourite” rival is Panionios. His latest three strikes (two in Toumba and one in Nea Smyrni) in the play-offs have raised his tally to eight goals against the blue-and-reds. Levadiakos are second in that list with six goals, while Olympiacos, Dinamo Minsk, AEK Athens and Asteras Tripolis have conceded five goals.
