It has become a sort of… tradition for PAOK and Olympiacos to meet around Easter and compete for the league title in the U15 category. And it is wonderful to watch footballers of this age group in action…

This season’s Super League U15 final match kicks off on Holy Tuesday 26 April at 16:30 in “Zosimades” Stadium of Giannina. It’s the third final in this category and all three have been contested between PAOK and Olympiacos. In 2013-14, Olympiacos won the title in Agrinio, while last season PAOK prevailed in Chania. Regarding this season’s final, PAOK head coach Αlexis Alexiadis said: “We are neither scared or stressed. We just want all guys to be healthy and give it their best shot on the pitch”.

Mr. Alexiadis qualified the final as a game of the highest level and said that “our season is already a successful one, especially after holding our own in the We Love Football tournament”. And he added: “I am proud and happy with my players’s efforts. There is considerable room for improvement and they will successfully make it to the U17 level”.

PAOK topped Group B of Super League U15 with an impressive perfect record of 18 victories in as many encounters and a massive 22-point distance from second-placed Iraklis. The players of Alexis Alexiadis and Giannis Ampatzidis scored 56 goals and conceded just 6 in the process.

Group B of Super League U15 consisted of: PAOK, Iraklis, Xanthi, Veria, Panetolikos, Panthrakikos and PAS Giannina. Group A: Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, AEK, Asteras Tripolis, Atromitos and Platanias. Olympiacos won their group with a total of 41 point, one ahead of Panathinaikos, after defeating AEK 2-1.

The final will be broadcast live on paokfc.gr and PAOK TV.

The game will be played in two 40-minute halves. If the 80 minutes of regulation time end in a draw, there won’t be extra time, but a penalty shoot-out will determine the winner.
