U17s hit four past Xanthi [photos]
With one match remaining for the completion of the regular season, PAOK U17s produced free-flowing football and eased past Xanthi winning away 4-0. The “Double-Headed Eagle” stand now at 61 points, 22 ahead of Xanthi who will give it all on the last matchday to make it to the Final Four.
PAOK took the lead after just two minutes of play through Gargalatzidis, teed up by Chatzidimpas. Scorer turned to provider in the 40th minute, serving the assist to Αidonidis for a two-goal lead. In the 57th minute, Chatzidimpas and Gargalatzidis combined again with the latter netting his second goal of the day. He went on to complete a hat-trick in the 60th minute, on an assist by Tzovaras.
Xanthi were twice denied by woodwork.
