Garry Rodrigues collected his 11888 MVP award for November in an event held on Thursday morning in Toumba Stadium’s mixed zone. There he had the opportunity to talk to media representatives about the team’s performances, his displays and the injury he sustained.
On the new individual accolade he earned from the fans’ vote:
«It’s very nice to win such awards. I feel confident about myself and I am very happy. I want to thank the fans for voting for me and my teammates«.
On whether he expected to get to many individual awards when he joined PAOK:
«No, I didn’t, when I first came. It’s a nice feeling and I will try to improve for my sake and for the team. I believe I am capable of even better performances«.
On his injury:
«The only thing on my mind is to recover soon, because that wasn’t a trivial injury and I need to be very careful. I am only concerned about the time of my absence and when I will be back in action«.
On whether he is satisfied for choosing to join PAOK:
«I am very satisfied and I like being here. PAOK are a big club and I am very glad to belong here. I feel nice, it was definitely the right decision«.
On the team’s lack of consistency:
«I believe that we are fine now, we feel better and the results are coming. Our performances are good. I am not interested in what went wrong before. We need to keep on trying and be better from now on«.
After collecting his award, Garry Rodrigues signed a shirt with his name on it and gave it for an auction that will be conducted by store.paokfc.gr. The earnings will be given to a child in need through PAOK Action.
