«Victory is the word»

Jairo spoke to Novasports TV about the upcoming encounter against Panathinaikos for matchday 8 of the Super League. Here is what he said:

24.10.2015

How do you feel in these first months at PAOK:

«The situation is constantly improving. We work hard every week. We weren’t lucky in some mathces. We played well, but didn’t achieve the desired results. We work on that and I believe that results will follow shortly«.

On his role in the team:

«I am confident and I believe that the coach trusts in my abilities. He always urges me to keep on working hard in trainings«.

On whether it’s tough for him to move from his star role in his previous team to the role he is occupying at PAOK right now:

«I believe that football is different here. It’s tough to adjust to a new league. I have no problem with my new role. However adjusting can be hard and time is important. I want to improve constantly«.

On the game against Krasnodar:

«I think that we played well, but didn’t get the result we were aiming for. We didn’t do well in setting up goals and finishing, but overall I can’t say we were bad. It’s a pity I was sent off in the last two minutes. I will work hard so that it won’t happen again«.

On the encounter against Panathinaikos:

«It’s a tough match against a strong opponent. It would be good to win as we need the points. I believe we are ready for this clash and victory is the word«.
