On loan players’ report
Players belonging to PAOK and loaned to other clubs are closely monitored by paokfc.gr. Here is their weekly report:
Facundo Pereyra (Qäbälä FC – Khazar Lankaran FK 6-0)
Facundo Pereyra scored his first goals for Qäbälä FC in an excellent performance against Khazar Lankaran. After 10 minutes of play, the Argentinian collected the ball at the heart of the box with an impeccable control and fired a close range shot to make it 2-0 for his team. In the 79th minute, he caught the rival defence napping and scored his side’s fifth goal. He seems to be adjusting well at Azerbaijan and is constantly improving his displays.
Efthymis Koulouris (Anorthosis – Agia Napa 2-2)
Anorthosis were held to a shock draw at home by Agia Napa and relinquished first place. Efthymis Koulouris was introduced in the encounter in the 88th minute and had no time to settle and contribute to his side’s massive attack in the last stretch of the match.
Vasilis Papadopoulos (Paralimni – ΑPOEL 0-5)
Vasilis Papadopoulos watched from the bench as his side suffered a heavy home loss to league leaders APOEL. The young striker is still trying to adjust and get playing time.
Dimitris Giannoullis – Achilleas Pougouras (AEL Kalloni – Veria 0-1)
Giannoulis and Pougouras both played all 90 minutes of Veria’s away encounter at Kalloni. Flawless in defence, they never gave their rivals the opportunity to create danger and helped their side return with a valuable three-pointer from Mytilini.
Stefanos Polyzos (Zakynthos – Οlympiacos Volos 1-0)
Polyzos was solid in his 60-minute participation against Zakynthos. Olympiacos Volos signed a good performance but couldn’t avoid defeat in their opening league encounter. The young midfielder was lively, creative and wasted an opportunity to score the opener in the 26th minute. He was substituted off 30 minutes from time for tactical reasons.
Giannis Tsolakidis (Larissa – Panelefsiniakos 3-1)
Giannis Tsolakidis made his debut for Panelefsiniakos. The young midfielder featured in their starting line-up in AEL FC Arena, stood out for his fighting spirit and tried to create opportunities for his teammates. He was substituted off in the 66th minute and Panelefsiniakos kick off the new league on the wrong foot.
Nikos Vasaitis – Κostas Panagiotoudis (Thyella Filotas – ΑPE Langadas 1-2)
Two players belonging to PAOK helped APE Langadas defeat Thyella Filotas and record their first league victory. Panagiotoudis played for 82 minutes and is credited with the assist for his team’s first goal. Vasaitis was introduced from the bench after just 5 minutes of play as right full-back and went on to score the second goal and hand his team their first three points in the league.
*Qose and Popovic, who are part of Panserraikos’ roster, haven’t yet kicked off their season, while Savvas Toumanidis’s Kavala were resting this weekend.
