Friendly encounter between seniors and U20s
PAOK held their Friday session at Nea Mesimvria, one day after their spectacular win over NK Lokomotiva Zagreb that saw them qualify to the UEFA Europa League 3rd qualifying round.
Those who participated in the game against NK Lokomotiva, did recuperation work with light exercises on the pitch, in order to decompress from their efforts against the Croatians.
The rest of Igor Tudor’s players engaged in a “home” friendly encounter against the U20s, who returned from their main preseason stage at 3-5 Pigadia. The seniors prevailed 2-1 over Vladan Ivić’s pupils, courtesy of goals by Dimitris Salpingidis and Panagiotis Deligiannidis.
The latter withdrew from the match complaining of chest pains. Panagiotis Glykos and Stefanos Athanasiadis followed personalized training as they are recovering from their respective injuries.
Christian Noboa and Charis Charisis both did MRIs after sustaining injuries during Wednesday’s training. The young midfielder has suffered a 2nd degree strain in the left biceps and will be absent from training for 6 weeks. The Ecuadorian player has an edema in the right calf from a previous injury that is still giving him pain. He will train on his own for the next 5-7 days.
