Lucas back to training
PAOK players returned to trainings in order to prepare for the second leg encounter against NK Lokomotiva.
Lucas Pérez spoke with Igor Tudor and paid the –increased- fine, acknowledging his mistake. Therefore the Spanish player earned the right to return to trainings and is at the disposal of his coach.
That was not the case though with Facundo Pereyra who didn’t accept the fine and will continue to train on his own. The player also spoke to Sports Director Frank Arnesen and was told that rules issued by the coach should be always obeyed and he will not return to trainings if he doesn’t pay the fine imposed on him.
The session started with warm-up and ball circulation drills and then the players focused on attacking deployment tactics. Training concluded with physical condition drills, especially stretches –lighter for those who played on Thursday.
Eyal Golasa and Dimitris Konstantinidis, who weren’t part of the Croatia expedition, trained normally. Panagiotis Glykos suffers from a 2nd-degree back strain and will need 3-4 weeks to get back to normal training. As for Stefanos Athanasiadis, he continued with his recovery program. The Greek international forward took off the stitches and bandages from his injured toe.
Efthymis Koulouris, Stelios Pozoglou and Panagiotis Deligiannidis returned to training and will participate in the sessions at least until Thursday. The young internationals may then get a few days off, due to their international duty. Pozoglou is complaining of groin pains and did physiotherapy. He is expected to undergo medical check on Monday morning.
On Sunday, PAOK players will follow a physical condition session in the morning split into two groups (11.00 and 12.00). In the evening, they will all together work on their tactics (19.00).
