PAOK kick of their preseason stage
Vacation and summer rest is over for PAOK players. It’s now time to work. The “Double-Headed Eagle” kicked off their new season with the first session held on Friday morning at Nea Mesimvria.
As strong winds completed the familiar scenery at PAOK’s training centre at Nea Mesimvria, the “Double-Headed Eagle’s” players started their summer preseason training in view of their early European engagements. It was also the first occasion of the players to meet the new Sports Director Frank Arnesen and the new coaching staff.
The session consisted mainly in aerobic endurance and physical condition drills, jogging and ball exercises. Sotiris Papagiannopoulos didn’t train due to a viral infection, while Dimitris Konstantinidis remained in the gym for physiotherapy as he still has to shake off a 2nd degree sprain he picked up in the end of the previous season. Eyal Golasa was absent due to a personal issue and Lucas Pérez is still engaged at Deportivo La Coruña on loan until 30 June.
