“We are favourites”
PAOK’s new head coach Igor Tudor watched the 2nd qualifying round draw of the UEFA Europa League and then spoke exclusively to paokfc.gr about the outcome.
Here is what he said:
«There were less complicated options for my team than the winner of this tie, as the Croatian side is a force to reckon with. I don’t know much about Broughton, but I know Lokomotiva Zagreb quite well. They have a very good new coach Ante Čačić and they always rely on young talented players.
They already began their preseason a fortnight ago and will be in better rhythm than us, when we face them after just three weeks of trainings.
However PAOK have higher quality, better players and we will find a way to get through, we must qualify!
I won the Croatian Cup two years ago against Lokomotiva, as head coach of Hajduk Split, and I have never lost to them. If Lokomotiva pass through the first qualifying round as expected, we will treat them with respect, but we will be favourites in the tie«.
