PAOK U15s off to Germany to defend their Rimini Cup trophy

Newly-crowned Super League champions PAOK U15s left for Germany. Their destination is Bad Kissingen where they will defend their title in the Rimini Cup, one of the top European tournaments in their age group.

Throughout the years, Rimini Cup has been the starting point of several top class players, such as Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Sami Khedira, Mario Gómez, Nuri Sahin, Massimo Ambrosini, Mats Hummels…

Apart from PAOK, the following teams participate in the tournament: Karlsruher SC, FC Ζenit St. Petersburg, Borussia Mönchengladbach, West Ham United, AZ Alkmaar, Helsingborgs IF and a select team of local players (Regionalauswahl). They will be split into two four-team groups in a draw to be held in Germany. Games will last 40, 50 and 60 minutes.

PAOK’s expedition consists of the following players: Giorgos Mavidis, Christos Talichmanidis, Dimitris Voutas, Antonis Gaitanidis, Giorgos Georgiadis, Konstantinos Doulgeris, Giannis Efremidis, Vangelis Kyrtsos, Lefteris Lyratzis, Serafim Maniotis, Marios Tsaousis, Theocharis Tsigaras, Nikos Chatzis, Alexandros Gargalatzidis, Nikiforos Kyrkou, Giorgos Doumtsis, Alexandros Kyziridis, Dimitris Loufakis.

The youngsters are accompanied by their coaches Vasilis Mittas and Vasilis Kanaras, goalkeeping coach Vasilis Petropoulos, physiotherapist Giorgos Gagalis and kitman Vangelis Babatsis.
