On finishing last in the play-offs:

«We didn’t deserve something more. We couldn’t record a win and it is only natural to finish at the bottom. I believe that last summer’s poor planning is to blame. I had said back then that it would be the toughest season of all and I was proved right. Players are not the only ones responsible, but those issuing season plans also bear responsibility. There is pressure and most of us can’t handle it –that’s why we perform so poorly. Many things need to change over the summer. There shouldn’t be so many changes in the team –players, coaches… Those in the club should explain to newcomers what kind of club PAOK are and that the team is above everyone. That the team needs no fancy names or players».

On speaking about a sick team in previous statements:

«When I spoke about a ‘sick’ team, I was referring to players who can’t handle the pressure and that accounts for their poor displays. PAOK don’t need any players –on the contrary, players need the club. This club is huge and everyone involved should realise that».

On choosing to speak now rather than earlier:

«I believe it wouldn’t be right to make such a statement during the season. When the season is over, a review is in order to find out what was to blame».

On the individuals that led him to such a statement:

«We will talk more about this between us. It is imperative to clear the air and prevent things from deteriorating».

On what he will remember from this season:

«There is nothing to hold on to, everything was negative. Personally I would like to forget it as soon as possible».

«I will speak my mind. I believe that the team need to have a fine principled plan in order to succeed in upcoming years».
