Saturday’s session at cloudy Nea Mesimvria marked the start of targeted training for the opening play-off encounter against Atromitos. After the usual warm-up, Giorgos Georgiadis focused his training on tactics.

The session consisted of ball circulation drills in reduced space and against four mini goal, exercises of team defensive work and quick transition from defense to attack.

Miguel Vítor and Stefanos Athanasiadis followed part of training without complaining of groin pains. Dimitris Papadopoulos did physiotherapy in the gym and physical condition drills on the pitch.

Dimitris Konstantinidis suffers from 2nd degree sprain in the right calf and did physiotherapy and jogging, while Eyal Golasa had physiotherapy in the gym. Dimitris Salpingidis followed a high-intensity recuperation session with physical condition drills and ball exercises. Asterios Giakoumis did jogging.

On Sunday 17 May, the training session of PAOK is scheduled to start at 17.00 at Nea Mesimvria.
