A few minutes before kick-off of the encounter against the Greens, PAOK handball team won the league title at Palataki, by defeating Diomidis Argos in a penalty-shoot out. They claimed the domestic double, as a few days earlier they had clinched the Greek Cup at the expense of AEK. After the award ceremony, the whole handball squad went to Toumba Stadium to celebrate their achievement with the PAOK faithful. They stepped out on the pitch in the interval of the match for their victory lap.

The women football team of PAOK also experienced unforgettable scenes. After winning the league with a 3-0 emphatic victory over Aris, they were presented with their trophy at Toumba Stadium by Koulis Apostolidis and celebrated it wildly with the fans of PAOK.
